Activism Across Borders | Festival of Debate
SYMAAG will be hosting its first ever Festival of Debate event on 6th May. The event is called Activism Across Borders and will be about people’s lived experience of fighting for system change in their home countries, and how they bring this activism experience to the struggle against oppression and for migrant rights here in the UK.
The event will feature three great speakers who are activists in Sheffield, and the session will be facilitated by one of SYMAAG’s members. The session will explore the complexity, resonances and value of their contribution to the fight for freedom here in the UK.
The session is at 7pm in the Diamond building of The University of Sheffield, and is free to attend. We would love for lots of people to attend so please tell people you think would be interested.
